Annual School Prayer

Our annual school-wide theme guides the selection of a school prayer, recited by the community every morning after announcements. This prayer begins our day focused in faith and is followed by a daily devotional and a minute of school-wide silence to dedicate our day to God.

Annual School Prayer

Te Deum

You are God: We praise you;
You are Lord: We acclaim you;
You are the eternal Father: All creation worships you.

To you all angels, all the powers of heaven,
Cherubim and Seraphim, sing in endless praise: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of hosts, heaven and earth are full of your glory.

The glorius company of apostles praise you.
The noble fellowship of prophets praise you.
The white-robed army of martyrs praise you.
Throughout the world, the holy Church acclaims you:

Father of majesty unbounded,
Your true and only Son worthy of all worship,
And the Holy Spirit, advocate and guide.

Prayer before the Crucifix

Most High, glorious God,
enlighten the darkness of my heart
and give me, Lord,
a correct faith,
a certain hope,
a perfect charity,
sense and knowledge,
so that I may carry out
Your holy and true command.

Prayer for Our Family

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit...
Gracious God,
through the heavenly intercession of St. Anthony of Padua,
send Your graces upon us.
Bless our family and our homes.
Watch over and protect us each day.
Be our guardian here, and our constant companion when we are away.
Provide all we need for good health, happiness and prosperity.
Grant us peace, hope, forgiveness, compassion and love,
so that we may be united forever
with You and with each other.

St. Patrick's Breastplate

May the strength of God pilot me,
The power of God uphold me,
The wisom of God guide me.

May the eye of God look before me,
The ear of God hear me,
The word of God speak to me.

May the hand of God protect me,
The way of God lie before me,
The shield of God defend me,
The host of God save me.
