Dynamic Education

"Saint Thomas gives our kids the foundation and framework they need to grow in their faith. It's not just words on a page. It's who they are."

Pre-4 Enrichment Program and Kindergarten Experience

Saint Thomas offers a 4-year old enrichment program for students who are ready for additional classroom time. Enrichment classes complement our curriculum through language arts, math, science and social studies, using activities to meet each student's needs. Faith is an integral part of the student experience – even in our enrichment program. Parents may enroll 4-year-old preschool students in our two half-day enrichment program.

Kindergarteners have the option of half-day or two, three, or five full-day experiences. In the two, three, or five full-day program, students experience:

  • Fearless Faith! ~ Children jump start their day in all school Chapel, reenergize their afternoon with the all school Angeles, see, touch and feel their faith during Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, and close their day praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy; all helping children ponder the great mysteries of their faith.
  • Exploding Literacy! ~ Children will fall in love with reading using multi-sensory and kinesthetic activities that open the world through the eyes of a reader.
  • Math Madness! ~ Kindergarteners revisit the morning’s lesson with further investigation, critical thinking, and open exploration in and out of the classroom!
  • World Exploration! ~ Excuse the mess. The children are learning here! Laughter, sticky fingers, oozing, and bubbles are encouraged as they study science and discover the world.

Grades 1-5 Enrichment Program

Saint Thomas elementary students who have mastered skills in the regular classroom participate in our enrichment program. Throughout the week, students are challenged to utilize higher order thinking skills in math and reading. Students in grades 4 and 5 also participate in a research class in which they analyze and synthesize information regarding a chosen topic. They present their findings to parents during a research symposium.
