Tell Us A Little About Yourself: I have always enjoyed supporting my kids’ academic and faith lives through volunteering in their schools and at church. Even though our last one graduated in 2016, I continue to coordinate several programs in the schools. Our kids live in multiple states and continents, so we love traveling to see them and traveling with them. I also enjoy running, golfing, pickleball, and anything that has me enjoying the great outdoors.
Tell Us About Your Family: My husband Ray is from Marquette, and I’m from a Chicago suburb. We met through work, married in 1991, and raised four children in Ada. They range in age from 26-30 and live in Grand Rapids, Chicago, New York and Tanzania. Our family was blessed to be embraced by our parish, and I have so enjoyed getting to know Saint Thomas.
Role on the Board: Member At Large (2 years)
Why did you want to be on the Board? I was invited to serve on the Saint Thomas School Board when my 20-year tenure on a local public school board of education was wrapping up. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to continue supporting education. I also consider myself a lifelong learner, so I felt very fortunate to have the opportunity to learn about and support Catholic Education at Saint Thomas.
What do you hope to accomplish for Saint Thomas? I am happy to share my 20 years of experience on a public school board of education to support Saint Thomas in any way I can.
